Flowers Power!!!
(Edwards Gardens, Toronto, Ontario)

It was the 27th of July when I got my first SLR camera as mentioned before. Excited and eager I headed over to a local park called "Edwards Gardens". Like a kid at a candy store I began to shoot the moment I got there. I shot every plant, flower, rock, bug...you name it, I shot it. It's too bad I really didn't know what I was doing, but some of them turned out pretty good. I found many flowers to capture, and although some were withered, they still made great pictures. I never thought that I would find joy in taking pictures of flowers..go figure. I first used only the basic settings to see if the camera was functioning as it should. It wasn't until that night when I read the manual and got familiar with the other creative /manual modes.
